VTDA Recommended Training Fees

The Association advises as a guide a recommended training fee calculated by taking the average cost from a cross section of trainers and suppliers involved for all aspects of training and racing horses.

This is purely a guide and is up to trainers to set a fee, which reflects their own circumstances. This depends on the availability of brands and products used.

As at July 1 2012

Daily Rate: $40.00 per day

This incorporates feed, stabling, labour, track maintenance and gear

Vet fees: at cost
Shoeing: at cost
Travelling: 83c per kilometre
