Sulky Fund

Secretary gave a run down on the Sulky Fund and his meetings with Shane Gloury and Glen Paine.

Float Rebates

Moved we write to HRV suggesting time is now right for the introduction of Float Rebates. This should be in addition to the current level of stakes. Every effort should be made to obtain a sponsor like a fuel company. If not possible then redistribution of stakemoney, not just of winner. Suggest 67,13,9,4,1 every other runner.

Bonus Races

Moved we should program a bonus race each month to Christmas, starting with Ballarat in October. These should be allocated to Clubs, which are favourable to the Association.

Yarra Valley Track

Moved we write to HRV regarding the Yarra Valley sand track and the entrance to the harness track being under water and an OH&S issue.

Head Numbers

Moved we write to HRV regarding the head numbers being used that attach to the bridle. The head numbers used should be those ones that go around the throat.

Stewards OH&S

Moved we write to HRV enquiring whether Stewards and race day staff are required to complete the OH&S course, particularly the bullying section.

Concession Driver Survey

It was agreed that the secretary should draw up a survey to be put to concession drivers regarding the current system, so the association can make a determination on the current set-up.

Ambulances

President gave a run down regarding the new arrangements with Ambulance services throughout the state. We are back to status quo except in Northern Region all ambulances will again follow the field.
