Tasmania It was agreed to give Tasmania any assistance, however our constitution would not be applicable to Tasmania, as they have to incorporate under Tasmanian requirements.
Diamond Valley Meeting at Kilmore. We were advised that the meeting was extremely successful but the costs charged by the Kilmore Club were substantial. It was agreed that the Club should take this up with HRV and would gain support from the Association if the Club wrote requesting assistance.
Melton Project Discussion took place on the Melton project and the lack of consultation with the Melton Harness Racing Club. It was discussed about a paid add in the Harness Racing Weekly supporting the building of 1400 metre track. It was agreed a statement should come from the Melton Club and we would make comment when asked.
Claiming in Races Moved we write to HRV suggesting that 40% of races should be non-claiming events. No concession or mare claims in similar way the thoroughbreds have no claims on certain races.
Harness Racer Column Secretary advised that HRV had committed to our bi monthly column and is awaiting HRV to advise schedule.
Presentation Rugs Secretary advised that there were some Clubs that after numerous attempts have not bothered to reply to presentation rugs offer. Moved we reallocate those rugs to other Clubs within the region.
