Moonee Valley Stalls area. Secretary reported that he had met with V Lynch, R Pongho and the OH&S representative from Moonee Valley and they had agreed with the plan to alter the stalls area back to the way it was. They would also fix areas where there were holes appearing in the ash felt.
Metropolitan StakesSecretary provided three documents relating to the distribution of stakemoney over recent years:
Mares Races Secretary confirmed that mares were not entitled to get double lifts into races. They get one lift of class or either concession driver, not both.
Driver Splits Secretary confirmed that driver splits were no longer in place.
Sectional Times Secretary provided two summaries with regard sectional times:
It was agreed that as there were very few being fined for the 32 quarters infringement then we should not bring this issue to HRV’s attention.
Fines Secretary provided a list by month, by type of the fines imposed by stewards for season 2003/04 and this season to date.
Sulky Fund Moved we offer to discuss the future of the sulky fund with the M&CTA. Secretary to prepare proposal for submission to M&CTA and HRV at our consultation meeting in April.
Consultation Procedures Moved we request HRV that the committees’ executive, being President, two Vice Presidents and Secretary be represented at the consultation meeting. If two of these were unavailable for a particular meeting then an alternate would be included.
Harness Racer Column Moved we write to HRV regarding the withdrawal from the Racer of the Kindred bodies columns. As the Trainers & Drivers are the captive client of the Racer and therefore should be entitled to at least a half page column in each month’s edition.
Melton ClubMoved we write to the Melton Club and HRV suggesting that foresight be used and every effort should be made to build a 1400m track at Melton.
Drivers FeeMoved we write to HRV requesting the increasing of the driver’s fee from September 1.
