In 2005 the Executive committee of the Association decided to provide throughout the year a number of races on which a bonus would be paid to both the trainer and driver if they were a paid up financial member.

It was decided that the Association should get behind the Maryborough Club and Victorian Square Trotters Association in their development of the highly successful Redwood carnival. It was decide to provide annually a bonus for each race on the major day of the carnival, Redwood Day.
